Friends,

Ontario is now ranked as one of the world's leading jurisdictions for population percentage to have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine! As of now, more than 78% of adults aged 18 and over have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and more than 51% of Ontarians are now fully vaccinated.

Thanks to your efforts, we are way ahead of our original plan and Ontario will be entering Step Three of the Roadmap to Reopen at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021. All of us have been waiting for this moment, and now, thanks to our collective efforts we are finally reaching this exciting milestone. This is a true Team Ontario effort.

This is a very exciting news but we will not slow down our efforts to fully vaccinate everyone who wants to get the vaccine to put this pandemic behind us once and for all. Do not forget to book second doses using the provincial booking website please click here or call 1-833-943-3900 OR you can drop-into one of the many clinics, we have one running this week at the Ontario Food Terminal.

I am also pleased to announce that I will be continuing with my Parliamentary Assistant role for the Solicitor General (Community Safety) adding the responsibility of Correctional Services to my portfolio.

Enjoy the weekend, and stay safe!

Christine
