E-newsletter: July 2, 2021

Christine Hogarth, MPP Etobicoke-Lakeshore

Friends,

I hope you all had a great Canada Day. The weather is amazing, and the province has entered Step Two of our reopening plan. It is so nice to finally get together with friends and families, and as I can imagine, all of us were excited to eventually visit our barbers and stylists as well.

On an even more positive note, our government is reaching yet another incredible milestone in our vaccine rollout as almost 5 million Ontarians (40% of adults) are now fully vaccinated, while over 15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered provincewide. We reached this amazing landmark only four days after reaching 14 million doses.

Furthermore, as of this week, all Ontarians aged 18 and over who received their first dose of an mRNA vaccine are eligible to book an appointment to receive their second dose ahead of schedule. Moreover, starting Monday, July 5 at 8:00 am., youth aged 12 to 17 across the province will be eligible to book an accelerated second dose appointment to receive the Pfizer through the provincial booking system, directly through the Toronto Public Health booking system, and through participating pharmacies.

To book second doses using the provincial booking website please click here or call 1-833-943-3900.

Enjoy the weekend, and stay safe!

Christine

The 2020-21 school year has been tough on our kids, and we know it. Therefore, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your leadership and commitment throughout this pandemic. You earned your graduation, and your parents, teacher, and I are proud of you and of your fantastic achievements.

This week, I had the pleasure to attend Bishop Allen's graduation ceremony. I was delighted to see so many faces of future leaders, future change-makers, and innovators. I'm sure parents and students are looking forward to in-person learning this September.
