Christine Hogarth, MPP Etobicoke-Lakeshore

Great news Etobicoke-Lakeshore, almost 11 million Ontarians have received their first doses, while 1,5 million Ontarians have received both doses of COVID-19 vaccine. This is a huge step forward, as we safely open up the province.

What is even more exciting is that we can all enjoy the patio season again. Thanks to the ongoing success of Ontario's vaccine rollout and the ongoing improvements in public health trends, the province entered Step One of the Roadmap to Reopen today! This is a true Team Ontario effort and I am incredibly thankful for the enormous sacrifices made by you, your friends, and your families in Etobicoke-Lakeshore for following all the public health guidelines and curbing the spread of this virus.

Ontario is offering free rapid antigen tests. If you are a business owner, I encourage you to get your screening kits by registering at Ontario.ca/testingonsite. Program eligibility was recently expanded to include any business that is allowed to be open and requires staff to work on-site.

Enjoy the warm weather, shop local and stay safe!
