Christine Hogarth, MPP Etobicoke-Lakeshore

Friends,

Yesterday, the Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health and medical experts, released our Roadmap to Reopen a three-step plan to safely and cautiously re-open the province and gradually lift public health measures.

In response to recent improvements in public health and health system indicators, Ontario will also re-open outdoor recreational amenities with restrictions in place, effective Saturday, May 22nd at 12:01am.

This roadmap represents a path out of the pandemic, while encouraging Ontarians to get vaccinated and follow public health advice. We all have a role to play in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and protecting the progress we've made together.

With over 7 million doses of the vaccine administered, the province is well on track to meet our goal of administering the first dose to 65% of Ontarians by the end of the month. This achievement a true Team Ontario effort. If you have not received your vaccination, please note that as of this morning there were 14,000 available vaccination appointments in the City of Toronto – book your vaccine today.

Have a safe long weekend.

Christine
