Mental Illness Awareness WeekPublished on October 05, 2021
Today is the start of Mental Illness Awareness Week. This week is a reminder to check in on our mental health, and that of our loved ones and colleagues. During the week of October 4 – 9, we encourage you to have conversations with your family, and friends about the realities of mental illness and the many treatment options that are available, so we can help raise awareness around this problem that affects over one million Ontarians each year.
You can also visit Ontario.ca/MentalHealth to learn more about available services and supports, and where to get help when you need it.
On behalf of Minister Elliott and Minister Tibollo, I would like thank all of you for raising awareness around mental illness during this important week across the province.
