Toronto Mayor John Tory and players from the Toronto Argonauts football team rolled up their sleeves this past sunny Saturday to help the Daily Bread Food Bank collect nearly 25,000 pounds of food.
They did so during the Daily Bread Food Bank’s inaugural Thanksgiving Drive-Thru Food Drive on Oct. 10, alongside members of the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association, the NHL's Michael Del Zotto, local MP James Maloney and MPP Christine Hogarth and others.
The event was held at Daily Bread's new Toronto distribution centre. Dignitaries and staff collected the food donations that came from the community in a drive-thru manner, to help limit contact between people.

Anyone wishing to do so may still make a financial donation at dailybread.ca
